The compact lens has a filter size of 67mm, a length of only 126mm and a low weight of 610g. The 28-300mm F4-7.1 VC has an optical construction with 20 elements in 13 groups, including one XLD (eXtra Low Dispersion), one LD (Low Dispersion) and three GM (Glass-Moulded Aspherical), which effectively suppresses chromatic aberrations and other aberrations.
